Stash Busters 2022 Challenge 2

In a previous post, I shared that Border Creek Station sponsors a Stash Buster Challenge every year. This year the challenge block is a fun and versatile Jericho Walls variation.

I’ve managed to make 19 blocks total. I made a small wall hanging (or large table topper) that is marinating in the quilting queue, and these two patriotic table runners.

Why two sizes of table runners? I have two sizes of cabinets, that’s why.

This large cabinet sits in the living room.

And this cabinet is between the dining and living rooms (which is one large space in my house).

Stash Busters 2022 Challenge Update

May 2022 OMG

I am keeping my May OMG goal simple. Like previous months, I want to complete all of the current month’s blocks, in this case, May’s 365 Challenge blocks…I don’t want to fall behind with the project!

365 Challenge

January completed blocks.

February completed blocks.

March completed blocks.

April completed blocks.

That’s it.

And what keeps me from the sewing studio?

How about yard work?

Drainfield

Remember when I visited with my son and fam recently?

Drainfield

We had plumbing issues and needed a repair in the drain field. Of course, we had to wait for the snow to leave, and that took a bit of time.

What a mess, but it is done, and now the work begins to make it a nice yard again!

And then there is this:

We are painting the dining room and kitchen.

Goodbye green and hello very light gray!

So happy to have a bright and fresh new look!

March 2022 OMG Update

I wasn’t home to declare a March OMG goal, but I have one. I wanted to complete all of the March 365 Challenge blocks.

And so I have.

I have also finished most of the STID (stitch-in-the-ditch) on my daughter’s patriotic quilt. The majority of the basting pins have been removed.

Jessica's Patriot

I shared about this quilt in this post.

The quilt sandwich is stable now (the layers are secure), and some of the weight is lightened without those pins.

The quilt is now marinating while I decide how to quilt it.

Most of the snow is gone, and the past couple of days have been warm (upper 50’s and 60 degrees). I am so excited to be home to enjoy spring! I’ve been out raking and discovering lots of spring bulbs popping up!

I am linking up with OMG at Elm Street Quilts. Hop on over there and check out the wonderful projects that others are doing!
