October OMG 2017 Goal Update

My goal for October was to work on my Aunt Bea’s Parlor embroidery project.

I wanted to finish the embroidery, and get the blocks squared up and the corner triangles added.

All but the last block are finished in the photo below.  All are sewn together, except the last row.

I am liking this!

I even have the first round of borders sewn…a bonus for me, as I didn’t expect to get this far this month.

Update:

Thanks to Slow Sunday Stitching yesterday, I finished embroidering the 20th (and last) block!

I also sewed the last row to the rest of the blocks, and put the top border on.

I’m pretty happy with the progress of this project!

October OMG 2017 Goal

Patchwork Times drew the number 6 for the October UFO goal.

My number 6 is the Aunt Bea’s Parlor embroidery quilt project.  I have already made quite a bit of progress on this one, since I decided to work on it for my Slow Sunday Stitching project.

One Monthly Goal - Aunt Bea's Parlor

I have completed the embroidery for 17 out of 20 blocks.  Woohoo!

So my goal for October is to finish the embroidery on the last three blocks.  I want to get the blocks squared up and add the corner triangles to them.

I think this may be as far as I get, since the last three months of the year are the busiest work months at my day job.

September OMG 2017 Goal

For September, Patchwork Times drew number 4 from the UFO list.  My number 4 is the same as my number 5 goal was…the friendship round robin project. I knew I would need lots of time (I need lots of time to complete almost anything)!

Friendship Row by Row

You can read about this friendship strip round robin quilt here, here, and here.

I left off working on this project in March.  I was sewing four patches together for borders.

My goal for September is to get the borders sewn onto the quilt top and have a completed flimsy.
