More Vacation – Dungeness Wildlife Recreation Area and Refuge

I am back to the day job, but behind in posting vacation pictures.

How would you like to take a late afternoon stroll here?

Dungeness

We are strolling along the bluffs.

It is a long way down!

A beautiful sunset in a magical place!

When the kids were young, we enjoyed camping at Dungeness Wildlife Recreation Area and Refuge.  This evening, we simply enjoyed our stroll, but in the past, we have taken the time to hike, look for crabs and other beach treasures, and walk out to the lighthouse on the spit.

There is much here to fall in love with!

Owen Beach

While there is enough at Owen Beach to explore, and keep one happy all day, we chose to take an early promenade along the beach.

It was calm, and very pleasant; a great morning!

This little fella was also taking his morning walk.  I love his coloring!  I moved him off to the side so that he wouldn’t be trampled by an unobservant walker.

It was fun to see this plant growing from an old piling out in the water.

Aren’t jellyfish one of the most fascinating of God’s creations?  Yes, this one is alive and well.

Vacation

I have a vacation!  Yippeeeeee!

Hubby and I packed up the bags and headed west.  We are enjoying a visit with Son and Fam.

I thought you might like to see where we spent our Sunday together.

Mt. Rainier

Mt. Rainier has always been a favorite family destination.  We love it!

The anenomes have gone to seed; they are as much fun to blow as dandelion seeds.
