Slow Sunday Stitching

“SUNDAY. Take it slow and give your soul a chance to catch up with your body.”

“Today, whatever is good for your soul, do that.”

“It’s Sunday, therefore I am 100% motivated to do nothing today!”

“Do not let Sunday be taken from you. If your soul has no Sunday, it becomes an orphan.”

I’ve been slacking on my Slow Sunday Stitching project.

I have excuses, but I’m missing the point of Sunday…that special day of the week to slow down, relax and ‘smell the roses’.

I have finished block 8 of Aunt Bea’s Parlor.

And block 9.

Slow, and not so steady.  Little by little.  A stitch here.  A stitch there.

Onto block 10.

Take time to slow down.  Enjoy the day!

Slow Sunday Stitching

I haven’t accomplished a lot with my slow Sunday stitching goals but, then, I guess that is the point, isn’t it?  Slow and steady wins the race!

I have finished embroidering Block 7 from Aunt Bea’s Parlor.

On to Block 8.

I have done some embroidery on Block 8, but I don’t have a photo of the progress.

Not a lot will be done today.

I have a movie date with Hubby!

“What are you doing?”
“I’m darning a sock,” he said, holding it up to show me.
“What’s that lump inside?”
“A sock egg.”
“A sock egg? I didn’t know socks hatched from eggs.”
“Only the best ones do. I can’t wear the cheap kind, the ones that grow on trees. They give me blisters.”

I am working on some mending that I have long procrastinated on.  Nobody cares, least of all myself.  Ha, ha!

What else is happening this Sunday?

I continue to work on Aunt Bea’s Parlor for Slow Stitching Sunday.  There are 20 blocks, so this is a long-term project.

I have finished block 4.

Next up, block 5.
