Clorox and a Few Blooms

I’m cleaning house…preparing for company.

I thought you’d like to know what I learned today.

This is my t-shirt.  Maybe you know this already, but never, ever lean on a surface that you have just cleaned with a Clorox wipe.

Just common sense right?  Sometimes I don’t have any.

Hubby and I are weeding.  Little by little.  But there are gems out in the garden.

Like the unharvested rhubarb.  The blooms are lacey and pretty.

The new addition to the garden…a lovely azalea.  She was rescued from a garbage can.

The prolific and cheerful Miss Marguerite Daisy!

And the stately iris are beginning to show off.  I love having them standing at attention in the veggie garden!

It’s About the Blooms

Earth laughs in flowers. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

The intent was there.  I really meant to get the weeding done.  And I did.  A little.

But then there was the retreat.

And it has been raining ever since I got home.

So…for those who asked…and for those who didn’t…more of what’s blooming in my garden.

Time Out and What’s Blooming

I love having my hands in the dirt. It is never a science and always an art. There are no rules. And if it comes down to me versus that weed I’m trying to pull out of the ground that doesn’t want to come out? I know I’ll win. – Matthew McConaughey

It is time for me to get serious.

I have procrastinated long enough.  Therefore, I’m taking time out from this blog.

Time out to get serious about my farmer’s tan.

Time out to get serious about weeding.

This will take serious time out because I have a seriously big yard.

Seriously.

What’s blooming in my garden?

Camas…also known as Quamash.

Narcissus…also known as Jonquil.  Creeping phlox in the background.

Candytuft and Veronica Waterperry.

What’s blooming in your garden?  Get out in the sunshine and take a walk out there!
