A Stroll in the Garden

“Blossom by blossom the spring begins.”
 — Algernon Charles Swinburne

I am not having a vegetable garden this year, as my Hubby is creating a new one with easier access and easier to water, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything to see!

I live in the north, so my season is a bit behind other bloggers.

So enjoy this little garden stroll with me!

I almost missed the Crown Imperials; they bloomed while I was away on vacation.

I find it interesting that, in my garden at least, the tulips seem to bloom by color division, rather than color explosion.

The pink ones generally bloom first.

Then the red ones spring forth!

Last, but not least, the yellow tulips are just now beginning to flower.

The rock cress is wonderful!

While the grape hyacinth (and the giant ones, too) are nearly finished with their display.

While the hyacinths and daffodils fade, the narcissus is just beginning a happy show!

And the magnificent crabapple is teasing us!

Manito Park and Botanical Gardens – Part 4

“Who loves a garden still his Eden keeps, Perennial pleasures plants, and holesome harvest reaps.”…Amos Bronson Alcott 1868

Although there is much more, my last installment of Manito Park features the perennial gardens.

You can see the Part 1 of Manito Park here, Part 2 here, and Part 3 here.

Manito Park and Botanical Gardens – Part 3

I’m hold up in a motel in Ely, Nevada.  It’ll be another long driving day tomorrow (Moving Mom from Yuma, AZ to Spokane, WA.).  And then one more day to get the U-Haul unloaded and Hubby and I drive another 2 hours to home.  We should be home by Tuesday.

You can see the Part 1 of Manito Park here and Part 2 here.

How about a few photos from the Conservatory at Manito Park?  And then I’m going to bed.  I’ll be on the road again by the time you see this post.
