Concrete and Quilters – Part 3

Here is a reminder of the concrete rhubarb birdbath I made (Tony thought it was for him):

The concrete has been sealed and is in the garden.  Hubby did the grunt work, and we tried to make it look natural.  Hence, the use of the old stump that was destined for the woodstove.

We’ve had no rain, and I’ve let the garden go, so you’ll need to imagine the birdbath surrounded by flora…which it will be next spring.

It feels good to have another project finished!  But then again, I just might make another next year.  I’m definitely making more ‘stones’ for a walkway.

Sewing Studio Makeover – Part 4

Hooray!  I have a floor!

Detail of molding, or is it a toe kick?  Either way, I really like it!

Recycled bulletin board (fabric covered board and painted frame).  The mini ironing board was made by my husband.  The cover for it is a remnant from a quilt made by my great-grandmother.

I made four of these teddy bears.  The two on the right are also made from remnants from a quilt made by my great-grandmother.

The vinyl lettering came from a shop appropriately called, ‘Vinyl Lettering’.  I am really pleased with it!

There is no closet in this small room, so storage is a big issue.  The slanted ceilings also limit storage.   Hubby will be making the shelving to solve this problem.

Sewing Studio Makeover – Part 3

Remember this?:

Now it looks like this:

The green on the walls was supposed to match the green on the chair.  Oops.

The white is primer, but will be painted white so it will still look like this.

What’s up with that floor?  It isn’t yellow anymore.
