Millersylvania State Park

Our son and daughter-in-law, who live near Olympia, Washington, treated us to a hike at Millersylvania State Park.

The 903 acre park is an old growth forest with camping, boating, hiking, biking, bird watching, fishing, and swimming beaches on Deep Lake. It was built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) in 1935 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

I understand the park is a very busy destination in the summer, but on this day, in October, the park was a sheer delight to be in.
