Sunrise Stroll in the Garden

Lilac, Oak and Crabapple

Edge of Garden with a Lilac Hedge

Normally, come flower season, I am out taking macro photos of whatever fancies my eye when strolling the garden.

Crabapple

I haven’t had my camera out and about this spring, except for a quick walkabout that I shared here. You may notice a lot of growth from that post to this!

So I thought to remedy that and took a few early morning photos.

Crabapple

I neglected to get the settings right on my camera, but that’s okay.

  1. Growing up we had a lilac (and honeysuckle) bush hedge…in the midwest, they grew tall and wide like yours. I
Later, in Colorado, ours always struggled and never got to such heights or widths except for one year…the year the lilacs exploded in huge profusion and perfume! Thanks for the views of your lovely morning sunrise space!

  2. I have large hedges everywhere, and they are now blooming. So much color and perfume…so good! I don’t know why yours struggled. The Hubster and I have cut down hedges clear to the ground and they always grow back. There are areas around here where we would prefer a view, but the lilacs are persistent devils and we give up. 🙂
