No sewing happening, but lots of fun genealogy and visiting with family, so all is good!
Currently, I am blessed to be on the west side of my state visiting with my son and his fam. Double blessed, since Spring is happening here, and it is still snowing on my side of the state.
So I took my new camera out for a walk to Wonderwood Park and recorded the greening of the land!
Those that aren’t experiencing Spring, but are longing for it (It is coming!), please enjoy the blooms, the greens, and the textures through these photos!
” Blossom by blossom the spring begins.” — Algernon Charles Swinburne
“Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.” — Luther Burbank
“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.” — Rainer Maria Rilke
“My favorite weather is bird chirping weather.” — Terri Guillemets
“If people did not love one another, I really don’t see what use there would be in having any spring.” — Victor Hugo
“A flower blossoms for its own joy.” — Oscar Wilde
“In the Spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.” — Mark Twain
“Spring unlocks the flowers to paint the laughing soil.” — Bishop Reginald Heber
“Spring shows what God can do with a drab and dirty world.” — Virgil A. Kraft
“Spring drew on…and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that Hope traversed them at night, and left each morning brighter traces of her steps.” — Charlotte Brontë
“Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.” — Lilly Pulitzer
Stay healthy.
Stay safe.
Keep smiling.
See the world around you!

Wow, it really is spring there! It snowed again here yesterday, and looks like we’ll have more blips of it this week. Enjoy your visit!

Hubby sends text photos of what it looks like back home…’blips’ of snow and rain. The snow is melting, though…I can see bare ground in places of the yard now! I hope you can get out to your garden soon, Kathy! 🙂

Actually, we will probably fallow this year. We want to build up the soil, and maybe get the greenhouse up.

It is nice to see some spring in your part of the world. We are slowly creeping out of it, but when we returned yesterday from MA, our crocuses were up in the back garden. It is coming!

I think my crocuses will be up, too, when I get back home. I am looking forward to seeing them! It is coming, indeed! 🙂

Beautiful! So many signs of hope both in your photos and the quotes you share.
Magnolias are just opening up here too. The crocus have finished but there are lots of daffodils. In our town most of the roads have grass verges and many are filled with daffodils – such a lovely sight 🙂 Really heartening that they belong to nobody but can be enjoyed by everybody.

Hi Laura! You lucked into a beautiful Spring vision . . . and your fabulous camera eye shares it all so nicely with us. Gosh, I can hardly wait to see a bit of the blossoms here but I’ll enjoy your portfolio until it arrives. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

It is nice of you to say that I am missed, Nanette! I have been super busy with family and genealogy. Now that spring has come, I am outside in the garden. I haven’t been sewing at all, but there are a lot of projects that I want to do. They will keep for a time. 🙂 Thank you! Hugs!

These photos are lovely and I also enjoyed all the spring quotes but it was seeing that beautiful Patriotic Quilt you and your daughter made that really wowed me. It is a family heirloom for sure.
