In my previous update, I shared that I was sewing the little bow tie blocks into large 8 x 8 blocks.
I have now sewn all but six little bow ties into a flimsy.
When I was finished, and hung the flimsy up to take a photograph, I realized that I had miscalculated. This monster is approximately 75″ x 100″.
What was I thinking????
But the six leftover blocks make a cute 9.5″ orphan block!
Quilt On!

That is a BIG quilt! I call those events “a burst of enthusiasm.” They just happen sometimes.

Hmmm, maybe subtitle it: Bow Ties – A little wine & crackers to go with your Cheddar?
Fun!

I love it, Laura! Very fun! But I don’t think quilting this monster will be very fun…we shall see. 😜

That is a very LONG quilt! You could add some more width and make it a king size, or maybe not,😄.

It would be a smart move, Kathy, and I do indeed have the cheddar and the scraps to make more blocks. I don’t feel like making more, so maybe I shall let this thing marinate until such a time that I want to face it again. Ha, ha! 😁

You could make it into two quilts. With borders you could get two twin size quilts out of it. Most charities take that size. One for you, one for giving.

That is also a great idea, Donna. The quilt is in time out for now, but this is something to consider. 🙂

Thank you, Allison! I do like it…even though I definitely miscalculated the size. 🙂
