Wowzer…what a finish!
If there are any ‘traditionalists’ who still diss anything machine quilted, pieced or appliqued, this piece should stomp out those old, outdated perceptions by a landslide. The level of detail is incredible, Laura.
And the addition of the red binding was a pure shot of inspiration. The best choice, albeit I wouldn’t have thought so before seeing it.
Ha, one could say you deserve to ‘rest on your Laurels’ right about now…and woo-boy isn’t that one loaded with puns!

My goodness! Thank you, Laura!
It is so funny…when I began quilting, I was one of ‘those’ traditionalists. Yay for all of those ‘out of the box’ quilters who inspire us to stretch out of our comfort zones! I love machine quilting!
I nearly chose a blah binding, but then I spotted this red/purple fabric in my stash…had to use it. 🙂
Laura…laurels; I love our shared name. 🙂

This is an Heirloom Laura – it is exquisite! And you did this on a Domestic machine – correct? You need to take 2 weeks off from the crazy house and just veg! Merry Christmas Hugs

Thank you, Nanette! Yes, the quilting is all done on a domestic machine.
I’d like to take 2 weeks off and spend it with both a good novel and in the Decompression Chamber (the new name that our mutual friend, Kathy, has given to my sewing studio). 🙂
Merry Christmas and hugs to you! 🙂

Thanks so much, Judy!
I am thinking that I am going to have to embroider the new name and display it in the studio. 🙂

This is just exquisite, Laura, what a great way to end the year! You really do have an heirloom there, you should be proud of this, it is a fantastic piece of textile art! I do think Decompression Chamber sounds much better than Therapy Center!🤣

Wow! What a spectacular quilt. The detail is amazing! I imagine concentrating hard on all the applique and quilting motifs must take your mind well away from the pressures of work – into a completely different world? I hope you have somewhere to keep Floral Reflections in view every day.

Thank you, Allison! I definitely enjoy the time in the Decompression Chamber. 🙂
I do have a rod that I can display quilts on; I like to rotate them.
