Love the roses, and the little chick is so cute!

The chick was hungry, but I did not try to touch it. I never saw the parents, but I assume they were near by. I think the chick must’ve fallen from a nest somewhere. I let it be, and never saw it again. I hope it is happy and well!

Those roses!!! We have fledglings out this week, and they are a wreck at first, just like toddlers, careening out of control. It is amazing how quickly they figure it out though. My best baby sighting this week was a little fawn at the lodge I clean. Tiny and wet from the previous night’s rain storm. It came up on the deck to hide and get some sun.

How awesome for you to see the fawn! We currently have baby quail and turkeys running around. I love to see the turkeys, but wish they weren’t in my yard. Ha, ha!

Super cute! But turkeys are diggers. Also when they are hot they will dig a hole to lay in…just like some dogs. Turkeys are tough on the garden!
I love watching the males during mate season. They are such show offs and yet, the girls all ignore them. Ha, ha!
