My OMG (One Monthly Goal) for November was to piece my Squared Away Sampler blocks into a flimsy (quilt top).
I am happy to report that I met that goal!
You can read about it in this blog post by clicking here.
I am still on the fence about whether to add another border or not. Most of the time, I think not, but then again….
I know I’ve been absent from blogging, but work is really busy and demanding this time of year. There is little time for much else.
So if you would like to see more eye candy then go visit Elm Street Quilts OMG (One Monthly Goal). I will be linking up there!

An interesting setting. I like the star cornerstones; mine are just plain squares, but I hope to have the top finished by this time next month, and the quilting started.

The blocks are randomly placed; I could have done better with that perhaps. Nevertheless, I am happy with it. I hope that you reach your goal!

Really like the quilt top. Can’t offer any advice about borders/no borders as I’d be having the same problem deciding if it were my quilt!
It was good to see the notification for your blog post in my inbox – it’s reassuring to know that the longer than usual gaps between your posts is to do with other commitments rather than any unforeseen events. Take care.

Hi Laura – I am back, but it has taken time clean out computer…. I recommend a black border about 2″ to stop all the busy and then a light grey for a 4″ border! That would really make the quilt pop! Love the setting and the stars especially! I hope to get back to normal in a day or two.
Hugs

Thank you for your suggestions, Nanette! I have time to think about it. Not much sewing going on…busy, busy at work!
And welcome back! 🙂

The flimsy looks great. I really like the stars between the blocks and it’s fantastic to see all the blocks together.
