“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in–what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”

The deer seem to favor the roses. They actually do leave the liatris alone, but they will nibble on the phlox and other choice morsels. 🙂

Beautiful, it is a pleasure to take a stroll round your garden! I was happy to see the quote from Rumer Godden. Her book ‘The Dolls House’ was one of my favourite childhood reads. I still have my very battered, browning-paged copy from the early 1970s 🙂

I had not heard of ‘The Dolls House’, so I looked it up. Thank you! I have 2 granddaughters who might enjoy this book!
