Hubby and I took advantage of a beautiful day off and did some bike riding at the Kettle Falls marina and campground recreation area.
Lake Roosevelt is in an annual draw down due to spring melt.
You can get an idea how deep the lake normally is from the above photo.

It does look like an absolutely perfect day for a bike ride. It is sad to see the lake down so much. I’m not an expert but it looks like it may take a year, or two, of good rain, to fill back up to where it was last year.

Darlene, This is the normal drawdown for Lake Roosevelt, which is the lake behind Grand Coulee dam on the Columbia river. They draw down the lake to make room for the melt from the snow in the mountains of British Columbia and northern Washington state.
