My goal for October was to work on my Aunt Bea’s Parlor embroidery project.
I wanted to finish the embroidery, and get the blocks squared up and the corner triangles added.
All but the last block are finished in the photo below. All are sewn together, except the last row.
I am liking this!
I even have the first round of borders sewn…a bonus for me, as I didn’t expect to get this far this month.
I am linking up with OMG at Elm Street Quilts and Patchwork Times.
Update:
Thanks to Slow Sunday Stitching yesterday, I finished embroidering the 20th (and last) block!
I also sewed the last row to the rest of the blocks, and put the top border on.
I’m pretty happy with the progress of this project!

Beautiful work! I know that you must be happy and proud of getting your quilt to this point! I bet the borders will really make the quilt!

No wonder you are delighted with where you are at with this project. It is gorgeous, love the embroidery blocks and the setting and the border is going to set it off perfectly.

Thanks, Kathryn! It is a sweet pattern, but I am having trouble getting my borders to fit properly. Little by little….

The embroidery and fabric choices look like a brand new vintage quilt is about to be finished. Love it!
