I started this Bonnie Hunter design in January 2025.
And it isn’t finished yet, but at least it is a flimsy and has advanced to the marinating closet!
It measures about 86″ square. That will change after quilting, squaring up, and washing.
Have fun and carry on!

Thank you, Wendy! I really like how it turned out. It is going to take a while to piece a backing for it. Doesn’t everyone have a marinating closet? 🤣

Laura, this reveal took my breath away upon first viewing the image in my WPReader. It is earthy, calming, contemporary and actively captures the imagination as my eyes rove over the shapes. Knowing how tiny all those squares are, adds to the impact. You are wise to take a deep breathe & let it marinate before continuing on the next steps towards the finish! Enjoy the moment!

Those squares are only 1″ finished! I thought they would finish me!
I can’t take credit for any of it. When I saw Bonnie Hunter’s design, it took my breath away, too! I love the design for all the same reasons you do. I had a whole l lotta brown scrap, and I knew this would be a great way to use it up. 😁
By the way, I have seen it done in other colorways and they all look great!

You have my deep admiration for such patience & precision in sewing up a multitude of 1″ finished squares then getting all those seams just so – whew! No temptation on my part to dive into this intense albeit wonderful design pattern – but so glad to see your successful finish. Brava! 🙂

Wow, beautiful, Laura! I have to think that is pretty quilt progress for a BH quilt.
